FIRST STAMP IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION that provides fully-funded global travel experiences to high school girls from rural areas of the U.S.
First Stamp seeks to bring the world closer together through global experiences, while raising American girls’ sights toward a more expansive vision of their own communities and beyond.
The First Stamp premise is simple:
GATHER A SELECT GROUP OF 15+ YEAR OLDS THE SUMMER BETWEEN 10TH AND 11TH GRADE — girls from small communities, but with big dreams — and take them on a carefully planned, safely executed, two-week, international trip led by seasoned guides and educators.
PROVIDE SUPPORT AND RESOURCES TO THE GIRLS to be sure they can build on this experience for years to come.
SHOW THEM (DON’T JUST “TELL” THEM) THAT THIS WORLD IS THEIR WORLD, full of opportunities not just to engage and explore, but to actively participate and improve.
Please encourage qualified students from partner high schools to apply.

In the past twenty years, the average amount of time teenage girls spend face-to-face with peers has dropped from two hours to just over forty minutes. First Stamp travelers reverse this trend while sharing life-changing experiences.
For high school girls from rural areas, these benefits are magnified, providing them with opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach financially and geographically.
All you have to do is take that first step, and get your first stamp.
